Information we collect
- Purchase information: name, email address, purchased product, payment status, currency, amount, and Stripe transaction identifiers. Stripe processes card and payment details; the Workbench does not store full card numbers.
- Access information: purchased Build entitlements, access-link requests, signed access sessions, and operational security records.
- Completion information: learner name, completed Build, learner-provided artifact title, completion date, rubric and checkpoint confirmations, certificate ID, and credential status. We do not ask learners to submit the artifact itself.
- Support information: messages and information you choose to provide when requesting access or support.
- Basic technical information: server logs needed to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the site. We also record a small set of first-party product events, such as a preview opening, checkout starting, Build opening, or checkpoint passing. Event records contain the page path and relevant Build identifier, not the learner's email address or IP address. We do not currently use behavioral advertising or cross-site tracking.
How we use it
We use this information to process purchases, grant and restore access, deliver transactional emails, prevent unauthorized access, support learners, record completion, issue credentials, process refunds, and maintain the service.
Service providers
We share only the information necessary for these providers to perform their role:
- Stripe processes checkout, payment, tax, and refund activity.
- Hostinger and MySQL host the application and durable purchase/completion records.
- Resend delivers transactional access and completion emails.
- Certifier receives recipient name, email, Build name, artifact title, completion ID, and issue date when a verified credential is issued.
We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect the service or its users, or as part of a business transfer. We do not sell personal information.
Retention and security
Purchase and completion records are retained while needed to provide continuing access, verify credentials, maintain financial records, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. Transactional email providers may retain message metadata and content under their own policies. We use signed, expiring access links and cookies, access controls, and protected storage, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.
Your choices
You may ask what personal information we maintain about you, request a correction, request deletion where it is not needed for legal or transaction records, or ask that a credential be revoked. Contact josh@gigcityai.ai. Identity verification may be required before account-related changes are made.
Children
The Workbench is intended for adults and working professionals. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes
Material changes will be posted here with a revised date. Continued use after a change means the updated policy applies to later activity.
